BRINGERS OF CHAOS GUILD POLICIES & PROCEDURES

~ RECRUITMENT ~

~BoC members must be at least 18 years old. This is an adult guild.

~BoC has a three-recommendation recruitment system. One referral can be from someone you know in real life and/or in game. The other two referrals must be from BoC guild members you have gotten to know after your friend recommended you. You initially become a Recruit until the officers feel you have integrated yourself completely (you are a good personality fit with the guild and a good player), then you are promoted to "full" member status (Poobah).

~BoC’s recruitment system is intended to maintain a smaller guild with a sense of community, trust, and friendship. BoC members are expected to treat others with respect, prevent guild drama, and be helpful.

~ GUILD RANKS ~

* Grand Poobah : Main toons of officers— the only guild members who may invite or remove guild members, promote or demote guild members, and change vault access settings.

* Grand Alt : Alternate toons of Grand Poobahs. These toons have full officer priviledges.

* Poobah : Main toons of members of BoC in good standing—have access to officer chat and guild chat, may withdraw up to 20 stacks of items from the guild vault per day, and may use the guild vault for repairs.

* Poobah Alt : Alternate toons of Poobahs. These toons have full poobah priviledges.

* Short Bus Rider : Rank for . . . special people (Special in a good way or special in a bad way? We're not quite sure . . .).

* Recruit : Recruits are on evaluation to determine if they are a "good fit" for the guild through regular communication with officers and other BoC members.  Recruits can deposit items into the guild bank, but they cannot make withdrawals or use guild bank funds for repairs.

* Probation : This rank is given to those who have exhibited unacceptable behavior and who are “on notice.” Their rights to talk in officer chat and guild vault use are suspended.  Guild members may be put on notice for abuse of the guild vault or harassment of others.

~ GUILD VAULT USE ~

~The contents of the BoC guild vault are for members’ use, so use them! Please only withdraw items that you can use. Items in the guild vault are not intended to be withdrawn and sold for profit.

~Vault funds can be loaned out on a case-by-case basis; no more than 1000g will be loaned out. Also, before making large withdrawals, please contact a guild officer for approval. Vault abuse is grounds for notice.

~It is expected that if you withdraw items from the guild vault, then you will also deposit items of similar value or gold in a timely manner.

~Officers may occasionally withdraw excess mats or green gems to sell in order to augment vault funds.

~Please use common sense when depositing items in the guild vault. Low quality items (i.e. Pauldrons of the Monkey) should be sent to an enchanter to DE, rather than deposited in the vault. Check the web roster to see who our enchanters are.

~ RAID POLICIES & PROCEDURES ~

~Raiding in BoC is optional. If you are interested in raiding, please contact the guild master (Ken). Be aware that raiding is a commitment—you are expected to be available and ready for scheduled raid times.

~The raid leader determines raid rosters and rotations. Check the guild forum weekly for raid rosters and announcements.  If you are on the roster and can’t make it, let the raid leader or an officer know ASAP.

~Let the raid leader lead the raid! However, independent thinking is encouraged and constructive ideas for improvement will be considered.

~All information about raids, including damage meters and WoW Web Stats links, is public information. WWS links are posted in the forum under the 10-Man Raids thread. Please use these tools to help you perform better while raiding.

~You are required to have Ventrilo (Vent) and a microphone. Most raid procedures and mechanics, unless obviously private, will be addressed over Vent. There is a link on the WoW Links page to download Ventrilo.

~The Omen mod is required to participate in raids. Omen is absolutely necessary for tanks to anticipate aggro shifts, and for other raid members to manage their aggro. You may find optional mods useful as well—check out the mods section of the WoW Links page.

~Respect your guild-mates’ time. Be ready for the raid at least 10 minutes before the start time, unless you have spoken to the raid leader about a potential time conflict. Contact an officer ASAP if you may be late.

~You are expected to educate yourself about how to play your class in all raid encounters. Read forums and watch videos about new encounters (again, check out the WoW Links page on this website). Suggestions may be made during the raid to help you improve.

~Loot: Any raid loot of green-title quality may be picked up by any raid member through group looting.  Rare and Epic-quality gear is handled by the master looter.  Raid members who can use such gear should roll. Raid loot that is of no use to raid members will be disenchanted and shards will be deposited in the guild vault.

~ BANISHMENT FROM THE GUILD ~

~Challenging the leadership of the guild in a confrontational manner is grounds for a g-kick. The guild leadership is open to suggestions, not orders. Don't whine at them about loot or say "you're running the guild wrong.”

~Committing two offenses that result in demotion to Probation status will result in a g-kick. Banishment from the guild is permanent.

~ LEAVING THE GUILD ~

~Some BoC members will inevitably leave the guild. Those who leave unexpectedly can expect a whisper from one or more of the officers about the reason for leaving and what we could have done better. Once you leave, you may rejoin BoC unless told otherwise.

~If you leave and ask to rejoin BoC multiple times within a short period of time (less than 6 months), you will not be invited again. BoC is not a revolving door for you to be in while you find your next guild.
